The Dinwiddie County Fair

The 2025 Dinwiddie County Fair is scheduled for October 17-19, 2025 at Virginia Motorsports Park! Stay tuned for updates including live music, attraction and vendor announcements!

 

Sports Tourism

The Dinwiddie County Sports Complex currently houses: football stadium, full-sized baseball field, soccer stadium, and three NCAA and High School level championship sized softball fields. 

All fields are planted with Bermuda grass, are fully irrigated and are equipped with state-of-the-art Musco Lighting. 

The Complex also features a full concrete concourse, full service concession building and seating and parking for thousands of spectators.

Genealogy

Dinwiddie County was formed in 1752 from Prince George County and was first home to the Paleo Indians. After the formation of the County, several militia units from the County fought in the American Revolution. The County is also home to several Civil War battles and skirmishes.

The Dinwiddie County Historical Society is located in the Dinwiddie County Historic Courthouse and offers a wealth of information pertaining to the history of Dinwiddie County and the Central Virginia region.
