Discover Historic Dinwiddie County
Currently, the Sesquicentennial Committee is working with various government, business and civic organizations as well as the National Park Service and related tourism sites to properly educate the public by developing our inventory of historical people, places and things. By exposing our visitors and residents alike to the lessons of history, we hope to strengthen our national citizenry.

We, the citizens of Dinwiddie County, see our county as a destination for tourism, agricultural and forestry products, recreation, and business based on the proper presentation, education, and articulation of our existing, diverse, natural resources.

The Dinwiddie County Sesquicentennial Committee formed to commemorate and educate our citizens about our shared history in the great watershed event of our country: the American Civil War.
